The Sonoma Raceway has previously had joint sponsorship which includes Toyota Motor Sales USA, in joint sponsorship with Save Mart. It has been announced that this deal has now been extended across multiple years.
Since 2007 Toyota and Save Mart have been the joint sponsors of the race at Sonoma and they have also sponsored the official vehicle of the race. This extension for a further three years will mean that the partnership will at least extend to ten years.
2014 marks the tenth season of Toyota being part of NADCAR as they started by sponsoring the Camping World Truck Series and then later moved on to the Sprint Cup Series and the Nationwide Series. Toyota has now managed to win nine manufacturers championships and five drivers championships.
The president of the Northern California Toyota Dealer Advertising Association, Henry Hansel explained that the Sonoma Raceway is one of the top venues for motor sports on the West Coast of the US and it means that by sponsoring it the company are able to showcase the newst SUV’s trucks and cars in the industry.
Toyota also sponsors the Toyota/Save Mart 350 preview show and this will continue as well. The show is a thirty minute broadcast on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area which is shown at least six times in June and has even been nominated in the past for a sports Emmy award.
Somona Raceway president and general manager, Steve Page explained that they were very prous of their association with Toyota and their vehicles as well as the dealers in the are which are outstanding. He said that he was looking forward to working with them for many years in to the future.
The bext NASCAR races at Somona take place on the 20-22nd June.
