After his win on Sunday, Brad Keselowski has said that he is keen to win another championship. He said that he does not want to be that person that has a win every three or four years but he wants to go for a victory every year.
Last year he missed the Chase and this obviously hurt him as he wants to make sure that he is a serious contender this year. He even joked that he was going through a mid-life crisis, at the age of 30.
He was focussed on winning two years ago when he won five times as well as 23 top ten finishes and 13 top five finishes and he went on to win the title. He had two more wins at this stage in the season two years ago but he is hoping that he will be able to keep pushing. He explained that Hendrick cars have been dominant and that his team will have to work hard in order to beat them.
It was back in February when he got a third place at Daytona and this weekend the race returns there which means that he will be hoping to improve on that. He should go in with confidence after his success this weekend, having led the race for a lot of it and managing to push forward back in to the lead on many occasions as well. He explained that this was very much like the year he won the title when he found that things seemed to come together well for him either by the circumstance he was in or just by the will to win.
The crew chief, Paul Wolfe explained that this sort of performance is not average and so it will take a lot of hard work by the team to make sure that they can get a great car available so that Keselowski can keep on winning.
