This summer will see the teaming up of NASCAR and Smithfield and Waffle House to get more people watching the NASCAR races.
Smithfield and Waffle House are working alongside Richard Petty Motorsports to launch a new mobile app. The app can be downloaded by NASCAR fans and as part of it they have the chance of winning reward points as well as a race weekend VIP experience on the 11th October which is the weekend of the Charlotte Cup Race. The package includes tickets to the race as well as a tour of a garage and pit and a ridealong experience with Richard Petty Driving School.
The app was promoted on the 1sst July by Aric Almirola as well as representative form Smithfield and Waffle House at a Waffle House in Atlanta where the details were discussed and the new paint scheme for the no 43 Smithfield Ford was revealed which features Waffle House and will be used during the October Charlotte Cup Race.
For those who choose to use the app, they can earn reward points by voting for their favourite Waffle House location as well as tracking their purchases there and certain Smithfeld menu items will earn then extra points as well playing the Fantasy Racing League part of the app. The points can be exchanged for prizes ranging from a key chain to an autographed racing helmet.
Greg Rollinggs, the Vice President of Marketing for Waffle House, explained that race fans are stringly connecred with the Waffle House brand and they were pleased that Smithfield could be part of the opportunity to work together using the mobile app. He went on to say that they were looking forward to seeing Aric Almirola racing in the car in October with the Waffle House logo on.
