The weekend saw some interesting NASCAR races. The Sprint Cup race was the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The 2014 Sprint Cup champion, Kevin Harvick won the race after passing Dale Earnhardt jr after a restart at lap 201. This was his 29th cup win and his sixth consecutive top 2 finish going back to last season. In other action Carl Edwrads bumped Kasey Kahne and Kahne bumped him back sending him to garage for repairs. Brian Vickers was 15th in his first race return after heart surgery.
The Xfinity race was also at Las Vegas and it saw Austin Dillon take an easy win over Ryan Blaney. Dillon led for 183 or the 200 laps but did not close it out easily as Blaney was there to challenge him. This is the third win of his career, but he no longer runs in this series full-time as he is in the Sprint Cup most of the time.
Wins for Tyler Reddick and Matt Crafton over the last two weeks in the Camping World truck series sees them head the leader table at the moment. However, it is very early in the season so impossible to predict who might end up top towards the end.
In other news Kurt Busch has been suspended indefinitely by NASCAR due to the domestic abuse allegations held against him.
