Round 3 of the Project Filter Tri Track Challenge series was a great night of racing . Joe Barton joined Jonathan Hull And Kenny Chandler as Race Engeneering Fast Time winners while Travis Pavlacky and Chandler won Lucas Oil Products Heat Race Award Packs.
Chandler would go on to win the 35 Lap Project Filter Feature in front of a near full grandstand. Barton took 2nd ahead of Ryan Bailey to round out the top three.
It was a fun night that saw a couple of announcements for next year that will see a new fuel injected Ford Focus engine combination coming out.
So far the cost savings in the tire department and engine department is drawing lots of interest making 2017 a promising season.
The efforts of the Southern Idaho pro4 teams adding weight and running on a long lasting tire coupled with a full night of heats, and 35 to 50 lap features has produced an eye opening savings to all the teams involed.
We have one race remaining on September 24th as our championship night will be held as a support race for the NASCAR K & N West SERIES. If anyone would like to come join us please give me a call and we will help get you set up with tires and let you know about any rules you would need to adjust to . Meridian is a race ceiver track and no radio will be allowed (another cost saving measure ) and better track control for line ups.
