NASCAR has announced the dates for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards. They will be celebrated in Las Vegas for the sixth year running and it will be on the 5th of December, which is a Friday. This is an event that has many A-list entertainers to make it a fun evening as well as many activities for fans of the sport and the stars of the sport will be there as well. This make sit a fun filled evening for everyone and obviously the awards are given out there as well.
Last year the show honoured Jimmie Johnson who has won the Sprint Cup Series six times. It featured John Mellencamp, Dierks Bentley and Sara Bareilles and was hosted by Jay Mohr. This year’s plans have not yet been unveiled with regards to who will host, entertain and whether any sport star will be honoured in the way that Jimmie Johnson was.
The president/CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority; Rossi Ralenkotter explained that there is now a strong relationship between Las Vegas and NASCAR and they are proud to host the event again for the sixth time. He said that the passion and energy of the destination matched that of the race, which meant that it was very fitting that it was help there.
NASCAR also announced awards for their other series and they will be held at Trump National Doral Miami for the first time ever. This will honour the driver and owner champion and the top five drivers in the Nationwide Series and the Camping World Cup Series.
The awards ceremonies will be hosted on Fox Sports 1 at 9pm with the Sprint Cup being live on Sirius NASCAR Radio and the other awards will be aired on 23rd November via tape delay at 7pm ET.
